2016 Ontario Budget Brief

On February 25, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Liberal government tabled its fourth provincial budget, a $133.9 billion spending plan that includes the full release of Ontario’s cap-and-trade plan to meet the province’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction target of 15 per cent below 1990 levels by 2020. In Education, the government announced the introduction of free postsecondary tuition for families with an annual household income of less than $50,000.
